Radiation Oncologist, Founding Member – South Carolina Oncology Associates
Dr. Neglia recieved his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his oncology training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
He subsequently served in the Army Medical Corps from 1972-1981, and Chief of Radiation Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.While in Washington DC, he also was a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at George Washington University.
After leaving the Army at the rank of Lt. Colonel in 1981, Dr. Neglia moved to Columbia, SC, where he entered private practive and subsequently was a founding partner of South Carolina Oncology Associates. He retired in 2015 and has been a volunteer at Harvest Hope Food Bank.
He has been a faithful philanthropist to the Basillica of St. Peter in Columbia, as well many charitable organizations including a hospital he helped finance in Haiti.
